Being famous and having millions of followers is great. But being famous, having millions of followers, and using your platform to help people in need is amazing. But, how this Youtuber locked himself!

An Arab YouTuber called AboFlah is on a mission to raise $10 million to support refugees across the Arab region and Africa. Hassan Suleiman aka AboFlah is a Kuwait-based gaming YouTuber & social media influencer. He created his YouTube channel in 2016. Today he has 23.3 million subscribers and almost three billion views. His page on Instagram has 6.5 million followers.

Why the YouTuber locked himself!

AboFlah promised to stay locked inside a giant glass box in Dubai until he reaches the $10 million target. The challenge started on Friday. The aim is to provide food, blankets, winter clothing, and basic aid to help about 100,000 displaced people in the Arab region and Africa.

He is streaming the challenge live on his YouTube channel. And after six days he reached more than $4 million from about 88,000 donations. So far the money that he raised will provide supplies for more than 40,000 refugees in the Middle East.

“Warmth in winter for those facing harsh winter conditions is no less important than food and water,” AboFlah said. “There are millions of refugees and displaced people who need all the support they can get. I wanted to participate in this humanitarian initiative and hope everyone will contribute by bringing warmth to the lives of those who are deprived of it.”

According to UNHCR, there are 3.8 million refugees and displaced people in the Arab region, and millions in Africa, who need emergency aid to get through winter.

It is not the first time that AboFlah made a noble initiative. In October he raised $1 million in a 28-hour live broadcast to support refugees in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq.
