For the third year in a row, Tesla Model 3 won Edmunds’ Electric Vehicle of 2022. This year the competition wasn’t easy. Two strong competitors, the Lucid Air Dream Edition and the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
The winner of the top-rated luxury EV is the 2022 Porsche Taycan. And the top-rated vehicle in Editor’s Choice is the 2022 Rivian R1T.
In addition to the EV’s amazing driving, the reasons for remaining Tesla Model 3 at the top EV are the vehicle’s wireless device charging, increased range, and its new power-operated trunk.
Edmunds rated the car with 8.4/10. It didn’t get the full mark because of the vehicle’s large touchscreen which according to Edmunds it is kind of distracting. The other reason is the weakness of support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
