The Korean famous series ‘Squid Game’ will be back in Season 2 and maybe Season 3!
Hwang Dong-Hyuk, the director of ‘Squid Game’, participated lately in an interview with Korean broadcaster KBS. During the interview, he revealed that he’s already in the midst of talks with Netflix about Season 2 and Season 3 the dystopian series.
“There’s been so much pressure, so much demand, and so much love for a second season,” the director said. “So I almost feel like you leave us no choice.” He added, “I think we’ll be reaching some sort of conclusion [to our discussions] soon.”
Speaking of the plot for season two, Hwang revealed what the main idea for Season 2 is going to be. “The focus will be the story of Seong Gi Hun (number 456) as he unravels the mysteries of the people behind the game”

Later that day, Netflix commented on the possibility of new seasons. “It’s true that we are discussing a wide variety of possibilities for ‘Squid Game,’ including the production of a season 3, but nothing has yet been set in stone.”
So it’s too early to say when that’s going to happen.
A total of 111 million viewers watched the first season of Squid Game, which was released on Netflix in September. Becoming the most-watched show ever on that platform.
