Due to the fall of the stock prices in many companies, two of the world’s richest people in the world have lost large amounts of their net worth.

The first one is Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Although his net worth has dropped significantly in 2022, he is still the richest person in the world. According to Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index, Musk’s net worth is now $199. Which makes him ahead of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos at $169 billion.

In November 2021, the billionaire became the first person to hit more than $300 billion in the world. But that didn’t last for long. In 2022, his fortune decreased by nearly $71.7 billion as a result of Tesla’s stock falling 27.7% year-to-date. However, assessing the net of Musk is connected to the price of Tesla and the valuation of privately-held SpaceX.

The second one is Meta Platforms CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. From the beginning of this year, Zuckerberg fell out of the top 10 billionaires list after losing $50.1 billion of his net worth. And now he is in 14th place with $75.4 billion.

Through a year, Meta Platforms Shares down 41%. It’s even had the biggest loss in U.S. history of stocks in one day, losing $230 billion of its value. On the one-day drop, Facebook founder’s net worth fell by $30 billion.

Despite all the loss of their wealth which is worth $90 billion combined, Musk and Zuckerberg remain on the list of the 15 richest people in the world.
