The Mobile Eccentric Droid or MobED, or Hyundai’s Robot, is a new mobility platform that can nearly hold everything everywhere.
With this robot, you can be sure that all your important things will be safe even your Baby stroller. The adjustable wheelbase and flexible steering angles, make the robot move on the trickiest surfaces and uneven ground without losing its cargo.
Each of the four 12-inch pneumatic tires has independent power and steering control systems. So it can rotate in place and move in any direction. Thanks to the MobED drive system it can control the height of each of its wheels separately.

The wheelbase can expand up to about 25 inches when it needs and keep the same stability. The platform is 50 kg weight, 26 inches(67 cm) long, 23 inches wide (60 cm) and 13 inches (33 cm) tall. On a single charge with a 2 kWh battery capacity, the robot can drive for approximately four hours. The mobility has three motors and the speed range is 30 km/h.
MobED can be helpful in places like the movie industry where film crews could move their equipment easily. Delivery companies could use it to deliver breakable things like TV or glasses.
“MobED can be used as a mobility device for the elderly or the disabled when the platform is sufficiently increased for people to mount it,” the company said. “It can also be used as a stroller or leisure vehicle.”
The South Korean automaker will bring the MobED, Hyundai’s Robot, to the public at CES 2022 next month in Las Vegas.
