We all know electric vehicles and how some companies made big names in this industry like Tesla. But now the competition between carmakers to launch an ultra-long-range EV has begun.
The most prominent names are Tesla Roadster with 620mi on a single charge and Lucid Air 520 miles. In addition, a third unexpected Norwegian competitor joined them. With a range of 620 miles on a single charge, the electric POD Fresco XL matches with Tesla Roadster.
And definitely beats the most popular long-range EV today, which is Tesla Model S Long Range Plus with 400 to 500 miles. Mercedes’ famous Vision EQXX concept is still in the lead with 1,000 km on a single charge.
The super-aerodynamic design of Fresco XL and the stacked XL battery packs are the reasons behind its long-range.

From the first look to that “electric POD,” you may say “I saw it before”. That is right, Fresco XL is a combination of Cybertruck, a Prius, and the Batmobile.
However, the Fresco XL seems to be perfect for personal and public transport. It has eight seats, dual motors for added traction on icy roads, all-wheel drive, and it has the ability to double as a home generator.
If you like the Fresco XL, you can pre-order it. It costs $114,330 but still has no release date. Moreover, the vehicle specifications could change drastically ahead of its release, because Fresco hasn’t revealed any production-ready version of its car.
